All together the school had generous donations totaling 1359 canned and non-perishable items! Each grade level competed and the following was reported: “8th grade collected 435 cans, 7th grade collected 491, 6th grade collected 281 and the 4th & 5th grade classes combined collected 152 cans. Mr. Harris’ class with only 17 students brought in an impressive 198 just by themselves!”
All of Sequoia’s donated items were picked up by Igo-Ono teacher, Mr. Andy Mills and delivered to our local Good News Rescue Mission on Tuesday, Nov. 29th.
Sequoia’s participation along with the other sites that excepted Igo-Ono Schools 311 challenge, have to date collected 2692 donated food items for our community. Several other sites are continuing to collect donated canned food into December. A final grand total will be posted once all canned food drives have concluded.
Thank you to all that donated. Way to go Spartans!
